No matter the type, mood disorders can be difficult to navigate. Anti-depressant medication and cognitive behavioral therapy or CBT have been proven highly effective at treating mood disorders.
Anxiety can take on different presentations and forms, ranging from general anxiety to more specific social anxiety or specific phobia. Anxiety disorders are very common and affect over 40 million people in the US. Anxiety is treatable; cognitive behavioral therapy or CBT and dialectal behavioral therapy or DBT, in conjunction with medication, are two effective approaches to treating anxiety.
